Rome is Sacked.!!

Before the Sack
Life in Rome before the sack in 455 A.D. is not bad. It's not a lot of commotion but it is a lot going on. There are people trading supplies shopping at markets. It is many people walking around outside talking and laughing with other people. It is a very peaceful place. It's like a normal day where we can go out and explore the streets of Rome.

                                                                                     During the Sack
The Vandals sacked Rome in 455 A.D. Rome was caught by surprise. They didn't know what to do. They couldn't do anything. They were powerless. The Vandals captured many people and they also killed and raped them. Rome tried to fight back but were getting defeated by the Vandals. They soon stopped fighting back and just went along with the flow. Rome wasn't such a peaceful place afterwards.

                                                                                After the Sack
Life in Rome after the sack in 455 A.D. is like the Holocaust. It's a lot of commotion and many people are hurt. The Vandals did a lot of damage to Rome. They caught Rome by surprise and Rome wasn't prepared. The Vandals captured many people and they also raped them. A lot of people ended up either dead or in the hospital. People were crying and screaming and Rome was seriously damaged.

Life as a Roman Gladiator.!!

You have to be brave to be a Roman gladiator. My life as a Roman gladiator is very difficult and dangerous. I chose to fight so I can win the slaves the freedom they deserve. I chose to fight a battle for the slaves who don't have their freedom. I chose to be a Roman gladiator because i wanted to and not because I was forced to. I want to help other people get their rights.

My life as a Roman gladiator was a living hell. I had to suffer. I seen people who were very close to me killed. One time, I actually had to fight against someone i cared about. I was born to be a Roman gladiator. Every time I fight, I know that I have a good possibility of winning the fight. Although, I sometimes get nervous because I'm worried that maybe my opponent is a much better fighter than me. Sometimes, I get worried that that fight might be my last.

I feel scared and worried about putting my life on the line. For a minute, I feel that the slaves' freedom isn't worth my life. But then, I realized that I was doing something good for other people, and knowing that makes me feel a lot better.I feel great knowing that I'm at least trying to help other people's lives.

Caste System

In my life, I don't see the caste system here in the United States.  But then again, I somewhat see some evidence of this system. Here in the Untied States, we have a lot more freedom than those in Ancient India. We are all also treated equally.
Here, in the United States, I somewhat see some evidence of the caste system. There is the President, who runs the U.S. and its government. Then, there are the celebrities and the rich people, who are making a fortune off of their career; they sometimes look down on poor people. There are the middle class people, they have some money and good jobs. Lastly, there are the poor people, who live on the street and beg people for money or they live in a homeless shelter. The poor people in our society are more like the "Untouchables" in Ancient India.
I don't really see the caste system here in the United States. Where I live, there isn't really a separation between higher class and lower class. Everyone in my community doesn't really care where people came from because we just all come together for the good of the community. Here in my society, nobody really cares if you're poor or not.
